Decades of Success Taking on Big Companies & Bad Faith Insurers on Behalf of Wronged Workers and Injured Claimants

For more than 30 years, Barry Kirschner has effectively represented disability claimants who have been wrongfully denied benefits.

As a graduate with high distinction from the University of Arizona College of Law, Barry began his professional life proudly serving as law clerk to the Honorable James A. Walsh. Ever since, his entire career has been dedicated to representing and fighting for victims of bad faith decisions by insurers–taking on the big-time adversary on behalf of the hurt human being. Successes include major jury verdicts against insurers, mine operators, and liars who spread false claims injuring good people.

Barry has fought all major disability carriers, winning on administrative appeals and in court. Some of Barry’s reported cases are from the 9th Circuit of the United States Court of Appeals (Demer v. Metropolitan Life) and Federal Court in Tucson (Robles v. Liberty Life). He has notably received high praise and significant awards of attorney’s fees from insurance companies ordered by federal judges (Brown v. LINA, and Gatti v. Reliance Standard Life).

Barry is recognized AV® preeminent by Marindale-Hubbell, “Peer Rated for Highest Level of Professional Excellence,” and he is named one of the Best Lawyers in America (Tucson Lifestyle) for ERISA cases.

A devoted Tucsonan and community contributor, Barry is past President of Southern Arizona Legal Aid and Vice President of the Arizona Center for Law in the Public Interest Board of Directors. He was on the initial Board of Directors for the Arizona Center for Disabilities Law, and he is currently President of the Board of Tucson’s Jewish History Museum.
